Go figure!!!! LOL He is now 3 months old and getting very big and he is sooooooooo much fun to play with. Everything is going fine with the pregnancy. Baby is growing like he's supposed to and kicking his mommy's butt every chance he gets. Yes, It's going to be a boy. And he likes to hang out by Mom's ribs and that HURTS!!! He is due on July 10 and I can't wait for this to be over. I am sooo happy that I am having a baby, but I absolutely hate being pregnant. This kid will be spoiled rotten because he's the only one I'm having. :)

Hopefully I will be able to post sooner next time........but don't count on it. :)

Big News...Big News

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, there has been a lot going on. First off, I don't miss Missouri anymore because I am back in Missouri. We moved back on December 2. Richmond just wasn't for us.

Second, I'm going to be a Mommy. I am only about 9 weeks along and probably shouldn't be talking about it yet, but I am too excited to contain myself. I go to my first doctor's appointment on December 14 and will tell you all about it.

I am glad to be bak in the STL. God how I missed it.

I Miss MO!!!

Man, I miss Missouri!! I never thought I'd say that, but I really do. I feel so out of place here, like the perverbial fish out of water. Like I said before, that it's just a matter of getting used to it, but....I will always be a Missouri girl at heart. AND I will always be just a little bit redneck. LOL This town and the people in it are both very nice, but they all seem just a bit pretentious.

I'm getting used to my job and I'm still liking it. There is a lot of paperwork to do when you're in management. I had forgotten about that. LOL (Also, working at a mall is hazardous to your bank account.)

Well, I'll close for now because I don't have much else to say. Just wanted to update and let everyone know that I am still alive. I am an Assistant Manager for the Kirkland's store here in the mall. Can you believe I got hired as an Assistant Manager?! Now for those of you that don't know what this store is...Kirkland's sells home decor and gifts. It's just a small store but I like is so far. Except, it has been a very long time since I have worked in retail and my poor body just isn't used to it. I come home in pain every day. My feet ache and my back is just impossible to deal with. I know it is just a matter of getting used to the physical activity though. Besides, it's good money and a chance to move up even further in the company.

C is still not working yet. He is supposed to start tomorrow. He had to go through all kinds of BS to get into this job. He had to take a test to get a CDL drivers license, go through a security background check, and take a drug test. The really bad thing is...we were under the impression that we were going to move out here and there would be a car for us to drive (yeah, one is in the shop and the other isn't drivable because it won't pass state inspection and we have to get it fixed to drive it), Chad would go right to work (I started working before him) and everything would be worked out for the kid's child support (we haven't been able to make a payment to them yet, I get paid Friday so I will be sending the money) nothing has worked the way it was supposed to be and I am not very happy about that. I guess it will all work out in the end. At least I hope that they will. I guess only time will tell.

How I got here

In answer to what some of you have asked...Chad got a job opportunity out here that just could not be passed up. He's starting school for HVAC on Tuesday night and its all paid for so...here we are.

We are living with his parents for the time being. A very short time, I hope, not that I don't like it here, their place is great. I just want our own space, ya know?

I have had an interview with Walgreens. I have a couple more interviews scheduled for next week so I don't figure I will be out of work for very long. There are SOOOOOOO many jobs opportunities here.

Getting a driver's license in this state is fun. You have to provide your old license, a piece of mail proving you are a resident of Virginia, your birth certificate and your Social Security card. Oh, and if you are a woman who is married and took her husbands last name, you have to provide your Marriage License. Have you ever heard of such a headache?!

I miss all my friends and family but I am making new friends and getting acquainted with Chad's family (finally, after six years of being with him) and I am sure that once I get settled in, and start working I will love it here.

Keep commenting on my blog. (I feel like a rusted out Chevy on a lot full of brand new Mercedes here. LOL) The people are very friendly. And I'm looking for a job...but there are a lot to choose from around here. I don't think I will have a problem finding one at all.

So now that every one knows that I am OK I'm going to go put my feet up and rest. The list consist of occupations and you are to choose 5 of them and answer what you would do if you could be in that field.

Here are my choices:

If I could be a musician....I would make a million.

If I could be a psychologist....I could figure out my screwy family (nah, Freud couldn't even figure them out)

If I could be a librarian....I'd be in heaven with all those books to read.

If I could be a proctologist....I'd be looking at assholes all day instead of just talking to them.

AND FINALLY...If I could be a monkey's uncle....I would be a male monkey.

Ok so now I get to tag people myself, so now I tag.

Brainshakes
Vamp Vox
Shaded Moons

Have fun all.

New Hobbies

I've discovered something that I like a lot. Time will tell as to whether I am any good at it or not, but I think that I could be. I have started a little flower garden in my front yard and started collecting houseplants as I said in an earlier post. I repotted three plants today, planted some pansy seeds in a pot in the house and planted three different kinds of seeds outside today. Earlier this week C and I cleaned out an area in front of the porch and put some stones around it. It's great because we already have an azalea bush out there so we just fertilized that today (maybe it will bloom better) . Our landlord will really be surprised!

Oh well, it's very cathartic and I can't wait until the new flowers come up. Just thought I would share it with you all. Catch ya later.

I'm Back...For now

Guess what? I joined the YMCA....And I've actually been going ( That is the amazing part) I've lost 7 pounds so far. Seven down 120 to go. It's going to be a long journey but I will make it. I have to this time. I don't want to go into my thirties as a fat person. {Side Note: I joined the Y on a scholarship. They have a program set up to reduce your fees based on your income. I get half off everything!}

Work sucks, as usual. There still aren't enough hours in the day to do all I want to. Working different shifts than you significant other sucks BIG TIME and there is ALWAYS too much month at the end of the money. Other than all that, I have been trying to think positively. LMAO!!!

We had a Yard Sale last weekend. Got rid of some junk and made a little money to boot. Ya can't beat that and it was a beautiful weekend for it.

Plus, I got to spend a lot of time with my great niece, who is named after me and is my pride and joy. She's walking and learning to talk and is ALL over the place. The girl isn't scared of anything so we really have to watch her right now. She stayed the night with us on Sunday. We had her play pen set up in the living room so I had to stay on the couch so that she could relax and go to sleep (she had to see me, new place and all) so I didn't sleep well at all. But I love her and I wouldn't have traded waking up to her blowing me kisses and baby babbling at me for all the money in the world.

Mom was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on her nose. Skin Cancer for those who don't know what that is. (It's ok, I didn't either when we first found out) She is scheduled for surgery on Monday. I am really worried about her. I pray for her a lot. She also found out that she has the precursors to osteoporosis. She's only 56. Why did she have to get so old so young?

Not much has changed in my world so I don't have much to say. Hopefully I will be able to blog more regularly but I still don't have a PC at home. Right now I must go home and sleep for I am very tired. Good night.

Another Day

Plumbing problems suck! Our toilet broke down the other day, C fixed it. That's cool. This morning I get up and the shampoo is in the kitchen. I asked C about this and the reply I got was "You can't turn the cold water on in the shower." This is a major problem at our place because the hot water is SCALDING hot. Seems that the handle is stripped out and won't turn. I guess we are going to be using pliers for a little while. LOL

I have to find a renaissance style dress for a very close friends wedding in May and I am having the hardest time with it. I found some online that I like...problem is they are like $245 and I don't have that kind of money. Not only that but I can't see paying that kind of cash for a dress I will wear once. I thought about going to a costume shop and see about renting one for that weekend. Anyone know of any good costume shop in the
St. Louis area?

Well, I must run for now. Got to go home and do some more laundry. (I've been working on it for a week. Never again, from now on it gets done every couple of days!) Have a great day ya'll!

Murphy's Law 101

You've heard the old adage "If it can happen, it will." Well, that is how yesterday and today was for me.

First, I got a letter on the 22nd saying that my cable will be disconnected on the 28th because my bank refused the payment (even though the money was there!) . I paid the cable bill yesterday and they told me that they would cancel the disconnect...They did...In the computer only...They never called the workman to stop him and he shut it off last night!!! AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!! I was on the phone three times last night trying to figure out why I didn't have any cable. They couldn't figure it out either because they had cancelled the disconnection in the computer. Well, the cable lady came out this morning and fixed it. Mystery solved there.

I went to the bank this morning trying to figure out why the payment was returned...They were holding my money in the bank because of another debit or something like that. I thought it was stupid but...What can you do? And now I just received a call about a bad check that I now have to pay a $25 service charge on and I have to go call them back now. Another, "holding the money for another charge" thing.

I was cleaning out my medicine cabinet this morning and I had a 1/2 ounce glass vial of rose oil in there for a diffuser I keep in the bathroom. I knocked the oil out onto the ceramic tile floor and can you guess what happened? It busted. Glass and rose oil EVERYWHERE! So now the entire house smells like really strong roses. Great!!! I also stabbed the palm of my hand on a fingernail file but that's another story.

It's only 1 o'clock and all of this has happened and I still have to go into work tonight. Oh well, what can I say...It's March.

:D

Wow! It sure has been a while, but that is only because I forgot my user name and password to get in here and blog. LOL. (Blonde thing)

I have been pretty busy with work and a little side project that C and I have going.

I don't really have much to say. Wow, can you believe that? Anyone who knows me knows I like to talk. Well, actually, I like to bitch. LOL Things are going well so I don't really have anything to bitch about.

I started a new hobby. Well, I don't know if you would really call it a hobby or not but I have started accumulating houseplants. I want to see if I can keep them alive. I like my plants. They don't eat, they don't potty on the floor and they are nice and quiet. AND they are pretty. I have two pothos plants, a peace lily, Two African violets (which I think are on their way out, they look pretty sad) a coleus and my favorite of them all...Irish shamrock!!! I want lots more. By the time I'm done, our apartment will look like a forest. LOL

Well, hope this finds everyone else well. They are getting so big and we are missing out on so much by not being there but as C says, that place just brings him down, and it did me too. You just can't make it there. We want to bring the kids down here. I cried when we left them because I know it is hard on all of us, especially C and his kids...I've been there; I lived it when I was a kid. My parents were divorced and I only got to see my mom twice a yearand I cried like mad when I had to go home. I am so proud of C though. He couldn't be a more loving daddy. He reminds me a lot of my own dad. I don't care what anyone says, sometimes the father is what is best for the kids. I know it was in my case, and it is for his too.

We came home last night. We had been home for about 2 hours and the telephone rang. Have you ever known that bad news was on the way before you actually heard it? Last night I did. I had that feeling in my bones. My sister was calling me to tell me that her grandmother (we have different dads and this was her dad's mom) had just had a heart attack and she was being taken to the hospital. You see, her grandmother found out a year ago that she had three blocked arteries and that she would need open heart surgery. She didn't want to have it done. Thirty minutes later I recieved a call from my brother-in-law that she didn't make it. She died shortly after she arrived at the hospital. It was a little after 11 at this point and I left to go to Festus to be with my sister and my mom. It's strange, no matter how mad my sister and I get at each other, when it really comes down too it, we are always there when it counts the most.

Although she wasn't my grandmother it has hit me kind of hard because I'd known her for so long. She was a strange little woman. A major packrat, a pain in the rump sometimes because she was so brutally honest and loved to argue. But she was funny and usually always had a smile for you and she will never be forgotten.

Geez

Boy, my blogs are few and far between! That is because I don't have a 'puter at home. I use the one here at my sisters when I get a chance to get over here.

I haven't been over or anywhere for a while because frankly I haven't felt like it. I have been fighting some kind of cold and junky stuff for a while. I feel better now though. Thank the Good Lord!!

I don't like the hours that I work. I don't like that I don't have benefits and my job is boring. Does anyone know of anyone that pays decently that is hiring? I applied at Aldi Grocery but they never called me and they don't have any numbers listed for you to call them and check on your applications. I guess they don't want people bothering them. It would have been nice though because they start out at $11.08 an hour for cashiers. Oh well, maybe something will come along.

My real dream would be to find a job where I could work from home. I would love to someday have my own business, but I don't think that will happen for a very long time so for now I will keep making money for someone else, Uncle Sam gets most of mine anyway.

Well I'll quit my bitchin' for now. Maybe Santa will bring me a Computer for Christmas so I can post more often. :)

It's Been A While

I haven't blogged in forever. I've been really busy and just kind of spinning from everything that has happened in the past couple of weeks.

I got moved out of my sisters house a couple of weeks ago. Things are going great on the homefront. Except I don't get to see enough of C because we work opposite shifts and that sucks. We are dogsitting this weekend at my sisters while the rest of the clan is in Branson. I couldn't go because I have been sick. I didn't think that walking around Silver Dollar City in the cold night air would be too good for me. But man I wish I could have gone to see the Christmas Display. It is so beautiful.

The Cardinals lost the World Series. (I know old news but hey, it's been a while.) I was sad for them but happy for the Red Sox. 86 years is long enough to wait. But they can't have it next year.

The hot topic as of late--the election....what a fucking disappointment that was!!! What happened to all those folks that were campaigning so hard for Kerry? Did they fall off the face of the earth? And what is wrong with the rest of you people? Has Bush not screwed America enough in the last four years? You had to give hime another four to put us in even worse shape? Oh yeah, there are still jobs in the US (not many) and healthcare (which working people can't afford)...guess you had to give him more time to get rid of that. Bin Laden might have actually gotten caught if someone else got into office (we couldn't let that happen, then the war might end)...oh and the rich would have had to pay taxes like the rest of us. Well, all I can say about that is....when it all falls apart don't blame me...I voted for Kerry!

GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!

THE ST. The only things that went wrong were #1) The bride, who was with me, was late (nothing like keeping 'em waiting from the start) #2) The cake showed up at the reception without a topper. All in all I would say that wasn't bad at all. It was very chilly for an outdoor wedding and the fountain kept spraying us because of the direction of the wind. My niece looked absolutely beautiful. I will get a picture posted as soon as I can.

I didn't get to move. Chad couldn't get the truck, but he is getting this Sunday and I will be on my way then. WOO HOO!!! I can't wait. Not that I don't love my sister and my mom, but I have been living in this two bedroom bungalow style house with 4 adults for two years now. It's time for some privacy. Not to mention, it's time to get things completely back to normal in my life. (well, as normal as life can possibly be living in South St. Louis, Hoosierville, USA)

I go back to work today after a three day weekend and I really don't want too. :( I would much rather stay at home and pack. Does that tell you how boring my job is?

The Cardinals lost last night but it's OK because they are coming back home and we'll get 'em here. The Rams won on Monday Night football and that made me VERY happy. {doing the happy dance} and the Packers won Sunday, they didn't just win, they beat the snot out of Detroit 38-10 in Detroit which is a miracle in itself because they really aren't a very good team in a dome. But two out of three of my teams won so I can't complain much now can I?

Well, I have a lot of stuff to do so I best get my booty in gear.

P.S. as soon as I figure out this template, I will get my blog links back up.

Yes, I am still alive.

It was suggested to me that I set up a public blog again.
